Effective Friday, January 9th, 2026, Nasdaq will begin disseminating the following new indexes on Nasdaq Global Index Watch (GIW) and the Nasdaq Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDS).


What are the new indexes?

The Nasdaq-100 8% Target Income Index tracks the performance of a systematic at-the-money covered call strategy. The strategy aims to generate an 8% annual income via short positions of at-the-money Nasdaq-100® (NDX®) Index call options, sized based on the coverage ratio, with monthly expirations.

The Nasdaq-100 8% Target Income Call Only Index is an option index that only measures the performance of the short call portion of the Nasdaq-100 8% Target Income™ Index.

How are the Indexes disseminated?

On Friday, January 9th, 2026, data recipients will receive real-time index information from the proprietary GIDS data feed with the following attributes:
